The agreement sees BUCS become a Supporting Partner to the FEVO Sport Industry Awards 2025, which takes place on Thursday 15 May 2025.
The new partnership will see BUCS sponsor this year’s Educational Institute of the Year award, a new category within the inaugural Pre-Awards Show that will celebrate any education provider operating within the UK that delivers an outstanding sport-related curriculum.
BUCS works with its member institutions to get more students active more often, through traditional competitive sport and the provision of physical activity opportunities and, as such, is the perfect partner to help present and promote this new award.
The Pre-Awards Show consists of five brand new categories that have been created to shine a light on corners of the industry that the Awards have not championed before and will be held during an intimate and exclusive ceremony in the VIP area at Evolution London.
Dylan Pugh, Manging Director at SIG, said, “I am delighted to announce Sport Industry Group’s new partnership with BUCS, and their involvement in this year’s FEVO Sport Industry Awards.
The Educational Institute of the Year has been introduced the to celebrate the incredible standard of sports education in the UK, perfectly aligning with all the work BUCS does across sport in UK universities.”
Will Roberts, BUCS CEO, added, "BUCS is thrilled to become a Supporting Partner of the prestigious FEVO Sport Industry Awards.
We’re delighted that the invaluable role our member universities play in the wider sporting ecosystem is being recognised at these awards for the first time this year, and can’t wait to find out who has been shortlisted.”
