Alex McKeown, Performance Pathway Manager for Canoe Sprint and Paracanoe at Paddle UK, said: “We wanted to target this event as an opportunity for U23 athletes to gain more experience racing at an international level.
“The event saw a record number of nations attending which gave a great level of competition to the event and it was fantastic to see all of the GB Students athletes be competitive with many progressing straight through to their respective A finals.
“It was great to travel as a combined Sprint and Marathon team and to see the level of support that the athletes and coaches gave to each member of the team competing.”
