Accommodation and Meals
- All delegates will be housed at Bluebell halls, on University of Warwick's central campus.
- Check in and room key collection for all accommodation is at Senate House, opposite Oculus Building.
- Check in time on Tuesday 16th July is anytime after 11am; check in on Wednesday 17th and Thursday 18th July is after 3.00pm.
- Check out on all days is 9.30am.
- Breakfast will be served in the The Rootes Restaurant, in the Rootes Building from 7.00am - 9.00am every day.
- Lunch will be served in Oculus Atrium – see schedule for daily timings.
- Morning and afternoon refreshment breaks will take place in Oculus Atrium too.
- Dinner on Tuesday will be street food trucks at Cryfield Pavilion for the Social Sports Evening. In the event of poor weather this will be moved to the Learning Grid in the Rootes Building.
- Dinner on Wednesday will be served in the Rootes Restaurant, before the pub quiz in the Dirty Duck
- Dinner on Thursday is only applicable to delegates also attending the BUCS Awards, which will take place in the Panorama Suite in the Rootes Building.
WiFi
Free access to University of Warwick's wireless network is included for all guests and delegates. It is designed to be available 24hrs a day, 7 days a week.
How do I connect to the Wi-Fi?
You can use the Warwick Guest wireless network anywhere on campus. Although there is no charge, you must register for an account and agree to the terms of use.
You can register using a web browser on your wireless device and a password will be sent to your mobile phone as an SMS text message.
Where is Wi-Fi available?
All of conference venues and bedroom spaces have full wireless network coverage so you can always stay connected.
I'm having trouble, where can I get help?
The University of Warwick IT Services team provide further help and guidance on accessing the Warwick Guest wireless network.
Breakout Sessions
- All breakout sessions will take place in the syndicate rooms in the Oculus Building.
- Attendance for breakout sessions will be offered on a first come first serve basis.
- To ensure the sessions start on time we kindly ask delegates to arrive 5 minutes before the scheduled session start time.
- If you arrive late, or the session is full, you may be redirected to attend an alternative session.
Sports facilities
- All residential delegates have access to unlimited use of gym and swim facilities at the Sport and Wellness Hub.
- You will be required to present your accreditation pass at reception to gain access.
Awards
- The awards dinner will finish at approx. 10pm.
- Dress code for the awards dinner is black tie.
- For delegates with Awards only tickets, please register upon arrival at the entrance to the Rootes Building
Additional Information
- There are no fire alarm tests scheduled over Conference, so if the fire alarm goes off please vacate the building via your nearest fire exit
- Assembly points are:
- Oculus Building - Directly across the street on the grass area by Senate House.
- Rootes Building - The piazza in front of Rootes
- The Sport and Wellness Hub - The car park
- Please report any first aid issues to a member of the venue events team
