Description
As part of our vision to ‘Become the Most Active Campus Community in the UK’ Warwick Sport is looking to recruit a Sports Engagement Officer to support the growth and development of our Warwick Active Wellbeing Programme to further increase participation across the student and staff population. This role will provide inclusive opportunities for the student, staff, and local community population to participate in a number of social, casual, and semi competitive sports opportunities. The programme will be aimed at increasing regular participation across the university community and developing projects that are tailored to the needs and demands of the students and staff population.
The role will also include supporting and developing a pool of volunteers across the programme. Experience of creating new initiatives and organising programmes to increase participation are an essential part of the role. Alongside this we are looking for exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to multitask and work under pressure, a passion and broad knowledge of sport and an individual who is a team player and highly motivated to achieve our vision. In addition, you'll need to be adaptable and have a flexible approach to work, including availability to work evenings and weekends. Knowledge of Higher Education is essential and possession of an NGB coaching award is also highly desirable.
