Role Expectations
1. To deliver the coaching program for UWE Hockey with the aim to enhance consistency, raise standards and build strong pathways across the squads
2. You will be expected to develop a game model that reflects the appropriate level of your players and plan for their development too.
3. To be responsible for ensuring that all sessions are run safely and report incidents, injuries and/or welfare concerns
4. To help develop, with the Head Hockey Coach, training programs that set high expectations and learning outcomes for individuals and teams with the aim of achieving results in the BUCS leagues and cups in line with agreed targets.
5. To provide regular feedback regarding individual player development requirements throughout the season
6. To ensure playing principles, guidelines and resources developed by the Head Hockey Coach
7. To work the UWE Hockey Club agreed coaching focus areas and playing principles
8. Be responsible for weekly team selections for team squads.
9. To make suggestions to improve the club through monthly meetings and termly reports
10. To attend meetings when required – UWE Bristol meetings / UWE HC Coach meetings / Coaching Network Meetings | CPD Workshops
11. To ensure the Club have provided you with equipment you need to deliver
12. To work within the guidelines of the University and the Students Union Health and Safety guidance, code of conduct whilst promoting safeguarding and well-being of players
