Description

The University of York Women’s Football Club is a successful club with a strong team spirit, inclusive ethos and professional attitude. Currently we have a first team competing in the Northern 1A after retaining our position in the league following promotion the season prior.

Following our most recent season we achieve 20 members plus at our main training session. There are hopes, with our extensive recruitment plan, to increase membership this year and reach enough members to have a second team/development squad.

We are looking to recruit a coach that will match our ambition to build as a team, develop our abilities as individual players and look to achieve success in this current league.

Training is primarily on the 3G at York Sport Village located on Campus East of the University. Training times are to be confirmed closer to the season and game days (BUCS) are Wednesday afternoons in various locations (home or away).

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

● Attend all BUCS game days which take place on a Wednesday, both home and away.

● Work alongside Captains to structure training sessions which are challenging, engaging and beneficial to the teams.

● Be supportive and encouraging, having the ability to give valuable constructive feedback to help the team and individuals progress in a positive direction.

● Select a well-formed and fair match day squad using a given selection policy as agreed with by the Captains.

● Must have flexible schedule for availability due to the nature of training times

Skills & Experience:

● Minimum Level 2 Coaching award.

● Must have knowledge of all positions and be able to help progression within these positions.

● Able to communicate with all members of the club, this includes having conversations about individual development and targets as a whole.

Other Information:

● Salary is between £13.00-£15.00 per hour (negotiable dependent on interview).
