Description

Our men’s section is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated development coach to lead training sessions for our 3rd and 4th teams and manage games on an ad-hoc basis.

You would be working closely with the men’s club captain and team captains to help improve the depth of the talent pool for our performance section, assisting with the development of players' technical foundations.

We are a university club based on Warwick University campus, just outside of Coventry.

The UWMHC comprises of 4 competitive teams and 1, growing, beginner's section. The performance section consists of the 1st and 2nd teams. The 1st team is currently competing in the BUCS Premier North division & Midlands Division 1. Our development section consists of our 3rd and 4th teams.

As a club, we are expanding each season and aspire to continue pushing our teams up the leagues.

As a club we train on Monday (17:30-19:30) & Friday nights (19:30-21:30), Playing competitively on Wednesday’s for BUCS and Saturdays.

The aim for the coming years is to balance performance with continuing to improve the pathway for upcoming talent in lower teams, making the performance section increasingly reachable for players coming up through the club.

We are looking to implement a common, aggressive, style of play and tactical blueprint across all our teams.

In this role, you will be central to the implementation and delivery of this core skills & tactical package.

The ideal candidate would see this is as a multi-year opportunity to not just work with a talented squad, but also contribute to the growth of the club.

Responsibilities:

- Attend training and deliver fun and engaging sessions for the 3rd and 4th teams

- If available, attend Saturday/Wednesday matches providing tactics and feedback to support in-game development.

- Close communication with captains and players, providing tips to develop skills and tactical understanding

- Report to the Men’s Club Captain and work closely with the relevant team captain to develop players and aid progression to higher teams.

Requirements:

- L2 Qualified

- Enthusiastic approach to session delivery, with ability to motivate and inspire players

- A good understanding of how to develop technical, tactical, and physical ability

- Ability to communicate effectively in a team environment
