As Scotland’s University for Sporting Excellence and UK Sports University of the Year 2020, sport is an integral part of the offer at the University of Stirling and we strive to set the standards in all facets of our delivery.

The University of Stirling boosts a phenomenal track record at all levels of Tennis and the list of alma mater includes Commonwealth Games Gold Medallist, Colin Fleming and ATP doubles ranked player Jonny O’Mara. Top Scottish female Maia Lumsden is a current tennis scholar and the University is always pleased to welcome back Andy and Jamie Murray to train at the National Tennis Centre.

The LTA’s National Tennis Academy is based at the University and our women’s and men’s compete at the premier level of British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS).

The University programme has also produced a conveyor belt of coaches, managers and administrators who are now employed nationally and internationally in the sport of Tennis.

The post holder will lead on the design, development and implementation of an ambitious strategy for tennis that further enhances the University’s status as one of the top universities in the UK and Europe for tennis, at all levels, based at the National Tennis Centre on campus.

The role will work closely with relevant partners including Tennis Scotland and the LTA, to ensure alignment with local and national programmes, the outturn of which will yield increased impact in performance, participation, clubs and employability opportunities.
