Key Responsibilities: Mission, Vision and Values

1. Ensure UoP Sport and the University of Portsmouth’s reputation and values are promoted and upheld in all aspects of sports delivery.

2. 3. Support the administration and delivery of the University’s performance sport offering.

4. Be a central point of contact for sports scholarship students.

5. To carry out routine established administrative processes according to defined procedures for the University’s Sport Scholarship Programme.

6. Effectively communicate with all performance sport athletes to ensure a positive student experience, and monitor customer satisfaction.

7. Develop relationships with students that make a positive difference in our customers' lives.

Student Experience

8. Support the safe and effective delivery of the university’s performance sport offer through providing effective administrative support for all of our services. Performance Support an infrastructure that allows our best student athletes and teams to excel in BUCS ranking competitions as well as quality local, national, continental and world level competition.

9. Support the coordination of professional services, coaching and support to our Team UOP athletes & scholars.

10. To analyse and manipulate routine data, to produce basic reports around performance sport delivery and targets.

11. Support the organisation of meetings and events including the coordination of programmes of performance sport workshops.

12. Administrate all aspects of our sports scholarship programme, including areas such as lifestyle support, recruitment, reports, educational workshop, scholar engagement, bursary payments, services in kind management and being the main point of contact for the programme.

Workforce

13. Support the recruitment, training and deployment of a student delivery team through provision of effective administration.

14. Manage a database of current coaches who will deliver coaching across our competitive and performance programmes.

15. Provide support and administration support in the development of our coach education delivery. Partnerships Support internal and external partnerships, sharing our skills and knowledge and ensuring our activities align with wider outcomes.

16. Effectively deal with a variety of stakeholders, including members of the public and external partners.

17. Work closely with internal departments to ensure an integrated approach to engaging our students in physical activity, e.g. the sports service, academic departments, careers and employability.

Other Duties

18. Administer and liaise with suppliers, staff, coaches and athletes in the purchasing, ordering and distribution of kit, keeping an up-to-date inventory on each individual involved with the programme and for overall stock control purposes.

19. Provide logistic support for the programme which includes booking venues and ensuring appropriate equipment and space is available for identified projects.

20. To support the financial processing within the programmes in order to provide accurate reporting.

21. To comply with all legislative requirements and company policies including but not limited to Child Protection, Health & Safety, and Data Protection.

In addition to the above all UoP Sport staff are required to:

3. Undertake appropriate learning and development activities as required.

4. Participate in the University annual Performance Development & Review scheme.

5. Adhere to University’s environmental policy and guidelines and undertake tasks in a sustainable manner.

6. Demonstrate excellent Customer Care in dealing with all customers.

7. To perform any other reasonable duties requested by SMT and in line with the grade of the role.
