The University of Nottingham Sport are seeking to appoint an ambitious and highly motivated Event and Sales Manager to oversee and deliver the department’s events and bookings sales and retention strategy, with a strong focus on driving income.
Key responsibilities include securing and managing the delivery of major events, planning and implementing systems and processes to improve the customer experience and maximising revenue across all sport and non-sport related university services. The successful candidate will also act as the main event liaison and provide additional staffing support to the sports operations team for major events. You will have significant experience in events, strong commercial acumen and a proven track record of generating income. You will be an individual who can work proactively with a high level of initiative, and who engages collaboratively with the wider team in a positive, solution-focused and forward-thinking manner. Additionally, the successful candidate will need to be flexible in their approach to their working week, noting that evening and weekend work will be required.
This position is offered on a permanent basis.
Hours of work are full time (36.25 hours per week).
