Northampton SU are seeking a number of coaches in preparation for the upcoming BUCS season.
TENNIS - Our newly formed Tennis club have quickly become one of the largest clubs on campus, and are entering their first BUCS season this year (men's and women's). They are looking for a coach who will help support them in their first year in competition. The club currently train on our outdoor MUGAs at Northampton's Waterside Campus, and are looking for coaching support during their Tuesday training session, 17.30 - 19.00.
NETBALL - Our Netball club have two teams participating in BUCS competition, and this year, their first team has been selected to take part in Northampton's first ever performance sport programme. We are looking for a coach who will help push the teams to the next level, working closely with the performance sport team at Northampton as well. The club currently train in the Sports Dome at Northampton's Waterside Campus, and are looking for coaching support for their Monday training session, 19.00 – 20.30.
WOMEN’S FOOTBALL - Our Women’s Football club have also been selected to take part in Northampton's first performance sport programme. The club have been newly promoted from the 2019/20 season and are looking for a coach to support them in playing at a higher level. The club currently train on the 3G pitch at Northampton's Waterside Campus, and are looking for coaching support for their Monday training session, 19.30 – 21.00.
INFORMATION FOR CANDIDATES - All our coaches are registered as self-employed, and therefore the successful candidate will be asked to submit the following information:
- Public liability insurance
- Unique Tax Reference number (UTR)
- A completed Coaching Pack (which will be sent to the successful candidate)
The role is to start w/c 4th October 2021. However, this may change depending on applicants availability.
Although this role is open to all coaches who are experienced in coaching and/or playing, the ideal candidate would have coaching and umpiring qualifications or intends to gain these.
