About the school or department:
This is an exciting opportunity to join the University’s Unisport team in a role that is focused on supporting students to feel able to participate in sport and physical activity across the spectrum of competitive, informal and social sport alongside their studies.
We are developing a new Sport and Physical Wellbeing Strategy for the university, and the successful candidate will play a key role in its delivery. The University has high ambitions for the future, and despite the recent challenges of COVID, is attracting increasing numbers of students, continues to develop its portfolio of academic courses, and the excellent resources available to our students. It also plays a major role in the economic, educational and cultural success of Gloucestershire and the south west region.
About the role:
The role will work with colleagues within the Unisport team, as well as a wide range of colleagues from other departments and our Students’ Union working together to actively encourage our students to support their own physical wellbeing as a key part of their university experience.
You will have experience in developing sport and physical activity programmes; working with coaches and volunteers, alongside an ability to positively working with a range of partners and stakeholders.
You will be an excellent communicator, with strong organisational and administrative skills, with a sound knowledge of university sport and public health.
