The sports development teamwork across the majority of the service with supporting a variety of areas. As our programmes grow and develop it is an exciting time to join East London Sport as we aim to reach more students and diversify our programmes.
We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic individual to join our team and play a key role in driving participation in sport and physical activity across the whole University and beyond as part of our Global Sports Strategy.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Create, develop, sustain and enhance student sports clubs
- To co-ordinate fixtures, transport and officials’ arrangements.
- Assist the Sports Development Manager in the implementation of the Global Sports Strategy, especially within the areas 1) sports club development, 2) student physical activity and 3) staff physical activity.
- Provide reports to the Sports Development team related to sports club development and progress.
- To support the implementation of the annual budget for student sport relating to sports development and physical activity.
- To implement the University Health and Safety Policy within East London Sport, ensuring that all sports clubs comply with the policy.
- To assist in the development and implementation of a broad programme of activities which will: Encourage a healthy, active lifestyle for all members of the University both staff and students Encourage students to maximise their potential by providing a comprehensive, diverse and inclusive programme.
- To maintain and develop effective partnerships and programmes with all partners relating to the Sports Development programme
