The Institute of Sport and Exercise (ISE) provides the dynamic lead for the University’s sporting and physical activity offer to staff and students by creating and delivering a positive culture and vision.

We are recruiting for an exceptional individual to join us as a Sport Development Officer, assisting us in the delivery of the strategic vision for sport at the University. This is a full-time, permanent appointment, reporting to the Director(s) of ISE.
If you have proven experience within a sports development setting (particularly if this is in the higher education sector), are committed and motivated to strategically enabling sports participation for all, and would like to work in a dynamic environment supporting our ~45 diverse sport clubs, then we’d like to hear from you.
Your priorities will include:
• Collaborating with relevant partners and stakeholders to lead the development and delivery of a 5 year strategic plan, including annual operating plans and reporting/auditing, for University of Dundee sport.
• Creating the appropriate environment to establish the most effective structures, services and programmes necessary to ensure the development of sport within the University of Dundee and maximising sporting opportunities available to students, staff and the wider community.
• Actively leading, managing and supporting the development of University of Dundee Sports Union and ~45 member sports clubs. Who we’re looking for… you will have;
• Relevant qualifications and experience in sports development, preferably within a higher education setting.
• Demonstrated experience of managing and leading projects, events and staff.
• Proven competency in budget and strategic management.
• Excellent communication, IT literacy and interpersonal skills.
• Enthusiasm and motivation to achieve high professional standards and outcomes.
