General Details:
The University of Dundee netball Club is currently seeking to appoint a qualified and experienced coach to work with the club for the 2022/23 season.
The team trains Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings however only require coach for Wednesday training session. Our seasons are the start of September to the end of November and mid-January to the end of March. It is preferred that applicants are available to attend university matches which take place on Saturday mornings/afternoons from the start of October to the end of March.
The role is self-employed and paid at an hourly rate, dependent upon qualifications and experience, which will be discussed with the successful candidate.
Person Specification:
- Experience and success in coaching competitive adult teams
- must have level 1 or level 2 netball Scotland qualification
- Availability for Wednesday 7-9:30pm training sessions
- Availability to attend all/majority of Saturday matches (desirable)
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Planning and delivery of technical training sessions to players on a weekly basis
• Match-day preparation and tactics (Saturday BUCS matches - desirable)
• Regular evaluation of team performance
• Regular communication with team captain
• To be a suitable ambassador for the club and University
