Description

The University of Swansea are seeking a Head of Football to build upon the integrated structure, programme, environment, and culture of Swansea University Football Club (SUFC).

The role currently sits in Sport Swansea’s High-Performance Programme and supports both men’s and women’s players to engage, develop and strive for success.

The club is highly ambitious and is looking for continued success within the following competitions:

- British University and College Sport (BUCS)

- Domestic Welsh Football

- BUCS Futsal

- Welsh Futsal League & European Futsal Champions League

- Community Football Academy Programmes & Welsh Domestic Football (U10 – U19)

- Intramural football

The post is based at the Swansea University Sports Park, supported by first class training facilities at the Fairwood Training Ground, shared with Swansea City Football Club.

Sport Swansea are seeking a talented, experienced, highly driven, knowledgeable, and inspirational leader to drive the club forward and provide strategic direction and success across our football and futsal programmes. The post holder will build upon the current SUFC provision and achievements to date and will install effective and sustainable processes, systems and structures to enable each area of the club to thrive across Sport Swansea’s strategic pillars (Inspire – high performance, Aspire –competitive / recreational, Engage – introductory).

The post will oversee all programmes associated to SUFC inclusive of planning, leading, implementing and delivering professional standards across the coaching provision for performance football and futsal. They will have an active role in delivering and improving the high-performance offer within the club, specifically for 1st team provisions within BUCS and Welsh League competitions. The role will successfully deliver and develop the critical success factors required by high performance programmes at Swansea University, which include Performance, Engagement, Recruitment & Marketing, Resources, Finance, and Governance.
