Duration of Contract: Permanent Salary: HSV6 (£29,400 - £31,856 per annum) plus Performance Related Pay

Annual Leave: 23 days plus standard public holidays rising to 26 days after 4 years continuous service

We are looking for an exceptional and proactive individual to join our team to lead the marketing of our student delivery as well as delivering our highly successful HertSquad Events schedule and respective marketing for these events. The post offers a unique opportunity for the successful applicant to develop professionally and demonstrate direct impact on the student experience in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for the Marketing of the Hertsquad programme as well as the coordination, organisation of all HertSquad events whilst liaising with both internal and external stakeholders to provide the best possible student experience.

You will be part of the marketing team and work collaboratively with key the HertSquad staff and colleagues from across the university to lead and provide expertise on the marketing of HertSquad and its respective programmes.

You will directly line manage the Graphic Designer Student Placement and, on occasion, provide supervision to Activators and Sports Committees.

Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of marketing activity on a regular basis and create relevant reports for the Senior Management Team detailing income levels, new members and recommendations for future activity.

Skills and Experience:

You will have experience of working in marketing, and, or sports industry marketing and be able to demonstrate an insight-led approach to assist in the development of successful initiatives and positive experiences for the customer.

You will have experience in organising and delivering a variety of marketing campaigns and have worked or volunteered at an array of sporting events.

You will possess the skills to be motivating and supportive of our programme leads, student sports club committees/volunteers and student staff, and you will have a basic awareness of project budgets.

You will believe strongly in adopting and promoting service excellence across all programmes and have a passion for engaging others into an active lifestyle with the ability to adapt to different situations.

You must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be highly organised, work well under pressure and be able to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced, busy and vibrant environment.

Qualifications Required: Degree in a marketing or sports related area or equivalent demonstrable experience. CIM MSM or other marketing qualification is desirable.
