Description

1. Organise and deliver the Campus Sport programme of activities in Writtle, designed to increase participation in physical and recreational activities amongst staff and students, including those who are currently inactive.

2. Recruit, supervise and engage a team of student sport activators who deliver and support the promotion of the campus sport programme. sport and physical activity.

3. Effectively co-ordinate projects using own initiative that achieve clear and sustainable outcomes that are measurable, within an allocated budget and which contribute towards the delivery of the Team ARU strategy.

4. Work collaboratively with others within our University, including the Students’ Union, faculties and professional services to further develop existing opportunities for students and staff to participate in sport and physical activity.

5. Establish and maintain relationships with key external partners including national governing bodies of sport, facility providers and community clubs.

6. Develop and implement sport academies across FE/HE, allowing students to study and develop in their sport, growing the sport provision at Writtle, increasing recruitment and providing opportunities across the institution.

7. To coordinate a programme of commercial sports events such as Kids Activity Camps, Outdoor Adventure Days, Writtle 5 and other commercial activities.

8. Work with the Web Team to ensure that the Team ARU website offers an engaging experience for prospective students by promoting ARU sport and provides up to date information for our customers.

9. Support the day-to-day running of all Team ARU social media accounts, making sure content is creative, planned in advance and all communications are consistent and aligned with the brand.

10. Represent our University in meetings with other universities, colleges, schools, partners in the local sporting community and with National Governing Bodies of sport.

11. Contribute to the continuous improvement of sport and physical activity at ARU by contributing in team meetings, providing creative ideas, highlighting any issues for further investigation and adopting a solution-focussed approach on a daily basis.

12. Commitment to the University Strategy and the Team ARU vision to enhance the lives of those within the ARU community through sport and physical activity and to provide a service that makes the university proud.
