About SSS:

SSS is a members’ organisation for colleges and universities across Scotland, providing students with sport and active health opportunities. SSS is at the heart of a network of over 500 clubs and approximately 40,000 participants. It delivers organised sports competitions, provides a range of sports development services and champions the role of sport and active health at the heart of the student experience. SSS is supported by sportscotland, SFC and BUCS.

The Role:

The Learning & People Coordinator is a key member of the SSS staff team, with a focus on creating sustainable participation across student sport by developing opportunities for people within our network to learn and develop new skills and knowledge.

The successful candidate will:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive Learning and Development programme of events that provide opportunities for members and partners to learn, challenge current practice and reflect upon existing provision.

• Create and develop positive partnerships between student sport, community partners, SGBs, local authorities, charities and other like-minded organisations.

• Ensure robust monitoring and evaluation in place to allow for meaningful reporting and analysis on all aspects of the programme.

• Lead the development of a number of SSS sports by acting as the sports development lead for a range of sports.

The post requires relevant experience of developing opportunities grow sports provision alongside experience of learning and development.

The successful candidate will report to the Head of Development.
