Duration of Contract: Permanent

Salary: HSV4 - HSV5.14 per annum pro rata plus

Performance Related Pay (£24,862pa pro rata - £26,937pa pro rata)

Annual Leave: 23 days pro rata plus standard public holidays rising to 26 days after 4 years continuous service

We are looking for an exceptional and proactive individual to join our HertSquad team in delivering our highly successful Active programme.

The post offers a unique opportunity for the successful applicant to develop professionally and demonstrate direct impact on the staff and student experience in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Main duties and responsibilities

You will have responsibility for co-ordinating and delivering the Active Virtual and Active Offices strands of the Active Staff programme.

You will also launch, develop, and oversee the Active Wellbeing referral scheme for the benefit of the University staff and students. 

You will work collaboratively with key staff and departments across the University to ensure the Active Staff programme is embedded into the staff experience and offers excellent engagement opportunities that are delivered on budget, promoted effectively, and have robust monitoring and evaluation in place.   

Skills and Experience

You will have experience of working in Sports Development and/or Sports Industry and have experience of organising and delivering sports development activities and programmes.

You will have experience of leading others including peers, coaches and/or volunteers.

You will understand the value of physical activity interventions to improve health and wellbeing.

You will be able and willing to be flexible about working hours and days to meet the varying demands of the post and have excellent attention to detail as well as Excellent IT skills including Microsoft packages and virtual delivery platforms.

You must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be highly organised, work well under pressure and be able to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
