We are seeking a new part-time Performance Lifestyle Advisor at our Colchester Campus to working in partnership with Essex Cricket, Ipswich Town WSL academy and the University’s talented athletes.
Key responsibilities include:
- To deliver performance lifestyle advice to athletes in the Essex County Cricket Club Essex Academy, athletes within the Ipswich Town FC Women’s Super League Academy, Sport England Talented Athletes Scholarship Students and student athletes based at the University of Essex.
- Support student athletes by providing interventions to enhance performance, empower student athletes to find their own solutions.
- Holistically monitor student athlete wellbeing and when appropriate raise any concerns with the Performance Sport Manager.
- Attend termly athlete review meetings and occasional performance sport staff meetings.
The position requires a performance lifestyle qualification or willingness and ability to achieve within 6 months of accepting the role.
The candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills and importantly, the position requires enthusiasm and flexibility, ability to work independently and under pressure, and a commitment to continuous professional development.
The position is offered on a part-time (19 hours per week), fixed term basis until the 16th of December 2023.
