The Institute of Sport and Exercise (ISE) provides the dynamic lead for the University's sporting and physical activity offer to staff and students by creating and delivering a positive culture and vision.

The University mission - to transform lives - is at the very core of the lnstitute's work as we use sport, exercise and physical activity to improve the health and wellbeing of the University community.

We are recruiting for an exceptional individual to join us as a Physical Activity Officer, assisting us in delivery of the strategic vision for Active Health at the University.

This is a full-time, permanent appointment, reporting to the Director(s) of ISE.

If you have proven experience in project managing and delivering Physical Activity initiatives, are committed and motivated to strategically enabling physical activity engagement for all, and would like to work in a dynamic Higher Education environment, then we'd like to hear from you.

Your priorities will include;

• Collaborating with relevant partners and stakeholders to co-ordinate the delivery and evaluation of innovative projects designed to improve physical activity engagement levels, and associated health outcomes, within our staff and student community.

• Supporting our work as a Centre of Education by raising awareness of the physical, mental and social health benefits of regular physical activity.

• Providing leadership and training to a volunteer team in support of programme delivery and expansion.

• Monitoring, evaluating and reporting against identified key performance indicators.

Who we're looking for... you will have;

• Relevant degree /eve/, and professional, qualifications within the discipline of Active Health.

• Demonstrated experience of co-ordinating, delivering and evaluating project based physical activity interventions, preferably within a higher education setting.

• Prior experience of partnership working to deliver collaborative outcomes.

• Proven competency in budget management and reporting.

• Excellent communication, IT literacy and interpersonal skills.

• Enthusiasm and motivation to achieve high professional standards and outcomes.
