Description
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Coordination of regional recruitment, trials and selection of student athletes alongside the Head Coach in an objective manner, for their respective sport, as part of the English Universities programme.
2. Advocate and embed a culture (across recruitment, selection and team activities) that strives for excellence and drives strong relationships with all stakeholders, to provide high quality, life shaping experiences that meet the specific needs of student—athletes. Ensuring the coaching team and players present themselves as ambassadors for English Universities Sport and/or their respective sport.
3. Oversee support staff in their management of players and team selections as required by the Head Coach.
4. Be responsible for the management of athlete welfare and kit/equipment.
5. Ensure the delivery and management of Codes of Conduct/Practice and Disciplinary Policies are consistent and duly adhered to.
6. Proactively anticipate and respond to national and international developments in sport, so that the Home Nations programme continues to grow.
7. Contribute to the positive image of University Home Nations, with students, EUSG, BUCS, NGB’s, partners and local community. Inc. UKAD
