NSE (National Student Esports) is the official body of UK university esports and was established in 2018 through partnership with BUCS to support the growth of esports within the higher education sector.
NSE is the home of the British University Esports Championship and the UK’s most active grassroots gaming community.
Competition
Thousands of students from over 110 universities compete yearly across 10 competitive gaming titles such as VALORANT, Overwatch 2, Rocket League and League of Legends. Check out the full list of tournaments for 2024-25 here.
The University of Warwick has won the British University Esports Championship for the last five years, you can see how your university did in last season’s table here.
Community
Aside from running the standard competitive tournaments NSE also hosts a range of other events and programmes for the student community.
