Institutions are permitted an unlimited number of non-guaranteed entries.
Timetable
00:01 - Wednesday 17 November 2021 - BUCS Play Challenges window opens for submission of results
23:59 - Wednesday 24 November 2021 - BUCS Play Challenges window closes for submission of results
Event Categories
The 2021-22 Rowing: Indoor Championships will be held virtually through the Challenges section on the BUCS Play App.
The competiton will run from 17th November to 24th November 2021, during this time competitors may submit their scores through BUCS Play Challenges. Each competitor will only be able to submit one result.
Competitors will need to apply through BUCS Play to enter one of the below categories, then join the Rowing: Indoor Championships Challenge to enter your results.
Categories:
Open - Male & Female - 2,000m
Lightweight - Male (75kg or Less) & Female (61.5kg or less) - 2,000
Adaptive - Male & Female - 2,000 (for adaptive criteria please see link to British Rowing)
Beginner - Male & Female - 1,000 (usually classed as first year of university or first year of rowing)
Criteria:
Competitors will need to enter:
1) Numerical value of their time
2) Photographic evidence of your time, e.g. photo of your rowing machine screen.
3) Photographic evidence of your weight on the day, e.g. photo of scales (Applicable to Lightweights only)
BUCS Points & Medals
BUCS Points
BUCS Points will be awarded for this event.
To be eligible for BUCS Points and medals, competitors must apply through BUCS Play and be accepted by their institution.
Medals
At the conclusion of the Rowing: Indoor Championships, BUCS will send medals to institutions for competitors who were registered on BUCS Play and finish 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in the BUCS Rowing: Indoor Championship categories.
Equipment
All rowing machines (ergometers) used should be Concept2 Model C upwards to be eligible for BUCS Points and Medals.
Resistance can be set at whatever level competitors wish, however this cannot be changed once rowing has begun.
Entry Process
To apply for this competition:
- Competitor to complete competition application on BUCS Play
- Institution administrator approves entry
- BUCS approves/denies entry into competition and publishes confirmed entry list.
BUCS Rowing
Register to compete in the race on BUCS Play
