Please note: This event is ran by the National Rifle Association (NRA), and to enter into the event itself, you must have entered here. Entering through BUCS is to ensure you win BUCS Points for your institution only.

(Institutional Administrators are given 48 hours after the student / competitor deadline to approve entries)
ENTRY COSTS
£3 per competitor, to cover admin (Charged through BUCS to institutions).
Entry to the events are made via the NRA website, with costs detailed below.
By entering on BUCS Play you are becoming eligible for BUCS Points provided all students enter by 11 July 2023 and must be approved by thier IA before 13 July 2023.
Individual Entries
By entering the Grand Aggregate, your scores will count as your BUCS Individual Entry for 2023. The Grand Aggregate will include:
- Saturday 15th July: Conan Doyle, Daily Telegraph, Donegall
- Sunday 16th July: Alexandra, Daily Mail, Corporation
- Monday 17th July: Duke of Cambridge, Times, Prince of Wales
- Tuesday 18th July: Lovell, Wimbledon, St George’s I
- Wednesday 19th July: King’s Stage 1
Entry costs £574 including ammunition – a 40% discount is available to anyone Under 25 as of Saturday 22nd July.
To be eligible for BUCS Points from the above events, competitors must individually enter the Rifle: Full Bore Mens or Rifle: Full Bore Women's events on BUCS Play by the dates specified above.
Team Entries
In addition to the Individual BUCS Fullbore Competition, a mixed team event is also available for Universities to enter.
By entering the following events at the National Rifle Association’s Target Rifle Imperial Meeting, your University will be entered into the Fullbore Team Competition:
- Musketeers: Friday 21st July, Teams of four, from any University in the British Isles or from any College within such a University. Each competitor must be In Statu Pupillari at the University or have been so during the preceding University term. 1+10 at each 300x, 500x and 600x
- Universities Long Range: Saturday 22nd July, Teams of four, from any University in the British Isles, or from any College within such a University. Each competitor must be In Statu Pupillari at the University or have been so during the preceding University term. 1+10 at each 900x and 1000x
Entry to the Musketeers costs £240 (including ammunition and Under 25 discount)
Entry to the Universities Long Range costs £165 (including ammunition and Under 25 discount)
To be eligible for BUCS points from the team events, competitors must ensure that their IA has entered a team into the Rifle: Full Bore Mixed Team event on BUCS Play. Participants must then join this team on BUCS Play. Instructions on how to do this can be found below.
Entry Process
To apply for the Individual Championships:
- Competitor to apply to the event on BUCS Play (Instructions on how to do this can be found here)
- Institution administrator approves entry (Instructions on how to do this can be found here)
- BUCS approves/denies entry into competition and publishes confirmed entry list
To apply for the Mixed Team Championships:
- Institution Administrators must submit a team entry on BUCS play. Instructions on how to do this can be found here.
- Competitors will then need to apply to join their respective team on BUCS Play. Instructions for this can be found here. Competitors should ensure that the correct number of people are in the team, e.g. 4 in a quartet, 2 in a pairs team. If you are submitting more than 1 entry, you will need more than 1 team. Your 1st team (Will be labelled as '1' on BUCS Play) should always be your strongest competitors.
- BUCS approves/denies entry into competition and publishes confirmed entry list.
