STAGED ENTRY

This competition will NOT operate a staged entry process. As such, please ensure all entries are submitted through BUCS Play prior to the closing date listed above.

Guest entries will be accepted for this event. If you are an alumni, you must play with someone who attends the institution that you attended. If you did not attend an institution, you must play with a university student from the area you live in or where you were born.

The able-bodied athlete in the doubles pair must be a current university student.

The restrictions on the able-bodied players are:

- D grade or below on BE grading in all events

- Can’t play in the Premiership or Div 1

- Any players that don't play in Premiership or Div 1 will have to be accepted by the Para Committee.

The same rules apply for players from Scotland & Wales entries. 

Please ensure that BOTH members of each doubles pair enters the event. They should be ranked in their pairs, e.g 1, 1 for the first pair, 2, 2 for the second pair, and so on. 

All entries will be checked by the Para Badminton Committee once entries close, and any not matching these criteria may be rejected.

Alumni and Guests are permitted to enter this event. You will need to create an account on BUCS Play and join the Para Badminton Championships Event through the 'Guest' Institution. 

Alumni/Guest entries have to have paid your entry fee before your entry is accepted. 

Payments must be made via BACS to BUCS by Monday 18th March. Payment for entries not received by this deadline will be withdrawn from the event.

Competitor withdrawals must be made by a competitor's institution administrator emailing Harry Spinks, the BUCS Event Coordinator.

Withdrawals before the entry deadline (14^th March 2024 at 23:59 [stage one]) will not be charged.

Withdrawals after the entry deadline (14^th March 2024  at 23:59 [stage one]) and before 23:59 on the 18th March 2024 will still be charged the entry fee.

Competitors who do not withdraw before 23:59 on the 18th March 2024 and do not attend the competition will be classed as a late withdrawal/no show and therefore will be charged the entry fee. They will also be fined £20 which will be charged after the event, to the competitor’s athletic union.
