It will be run in guidance from the ECB and subject to local and national restrictions regarding Covid-19.

All competitors, staff, volunteers & officials must complete the BUCS COVID-19 Health Questionnaire prior to arrival at the event.

The final will take place on Wednesday 23rd June 2021 at the idyllic Kibworth Cricket Club near Leicester. The address of the venue is:

Registration
- Your captain must register your team on arrival to BUCS staff in the main pavilion.
- All players are required to provide valid student identification at registration (i.e. student card). Anyone without the relevant identification may not be permitted to compete.
- You must complete the COVID Health Questionnaire prior to arrival.
Competition Information
- Format
50 overs each innings. Match ball Kookaburra Turf pink cricket balls will be provided by BUCS for the match. Teams are responsible for their own warm-up and training balls.
- Team sheet
You are required to complete the team sheet, including the names of players and support staff, in advance of the final as requested.
- Scorer
Each team must supply a scorer for their match with the means to calculate the Duckworth Lewis Stern method if needed (ideally software installed on a laptop). BUCS will copy scorecards on completion.
- Team Photos
Team photographs will take place outside the main pavilion at 11:20 (before the 1st innings start) for both finalists. Your team are asked to be ready for this time and dressed in their playing kit. Any changes on the day will be communicated to your coach and or captain.
- Lunch
Lunch will be taken between innings (unless otherwise informed) and provided in the pavilion. Lunch will be provided for 16 people per team (12 players, 2 support staff & 1 scorer)
Parking
- Competitors should take into consideration government guidance around travel, sharing vehicles and overnight stays before entering the event.
- Free parking is available at the venue.
Face Coverings, Hand Sanitisers, Toilet & Changing Facilities
- Face coverings must be worn inside when moving around the pavilion unless eating/drinking during the lunch break.
- Please use hand sanitiser provided around the venue when possible.
- Pavilion will be limited to players, coaches & staff during event.
- Any non-playing personnel will not be permitted in the pavilion, there are additional toilets by the pavilion which they will be able to use.
- We strongly encourage teams to come changed and ready to play to mimimise the requirement for changing rooms.
- Changing rooms will be open for teams on the morning of the event between 10am - 11am. Each team will have 2 changing rooms which are able to accommodate a maximum of 6 people, in line with current NGB and government COVID guidance.
Spectators
Presentations
Presentations will take place immediately after the conclusion of each match to minimise large groups & will be conducted in a COVID secure manner.
Teams are encouraged to leave the venue swifty after the conclusion of their presentation and not hang around for the final match to finish.
Covid Measures
What’s new for 2020-21?
Like always, we are taking safety at our event seriously. After careful consideration during the off season regarding the current Covid-19 pandemic, the BUCS team have implemented the following measures to promote the health and wellbeing of competitors, officials, volunteers and staff.
We created these measures by:
- Seeking advice from local authorities and National Governing Bodies regarding the current Covid-19 restrictions and recommendations
- Collaboration with the host venues
- Following of Government and NHS advice
- Consultation with BUCS Chief Medical Officer
New Measures:
- Event Disclaimer updated to include specifics around Covid-19
- Reduced entries to allow for increased spacing between bosses
- Adjusted event format to enforce all safety protocols such as social distancing
- Designated times for arrival
- Staff members and volunteers interacting with competitors will be wearing appropriate PPE/face coverings
- Covid-19 questionnaire completed in advance of the event
- Contactless registration, such as no touching by event staff of AGB membership cards or phones
- Increased access to hand sanitiser
- Increased signage on hand washing
- No handshakes and high-fives
- Extra cleaning and disinfecting of frequently touched surfaces and facilities
- We will be operating on a restricted access policy and no spectators are permitted
- Competitors must depart promptly after competition finishes – no hanging around post event
What’s expected of competitors:
- Competitors are expected to follow government guidance when attending an event including but not limited to guidance around travel and accommodation. This guidance should be considered prior to entry.
- Event competitors should stay home if they have any Covid-19 symptoms, live in the same household with someone with Covid-19 symptoms or have been diagnosed with, or suspected to have, Covid-19 in the past 10 days.
- Competitors must follow direction from BUCS staff
- Competitors must complete Covid-19 questionnaire before competing
- Competitors should always follow social distancing guidance
- Competitors should ensure they are following hand hygiene practices at all times
- Competitors should wear a face covering when indoors (such as using the pavilion toilets and café)
- Competitors should not share equipment at this time unless permitted within NGB guidance

Despite all these extra measures we have implemented, it is impossible to fully remove all risk.
Please carefully consider your options and make sure you are completely comfortable with the risks involved, before attending this event.
